Diagno Energy Selected for NLR International Demo Day

Diagno Energy has been selected as one of eight companies worldwide to present at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) (Previously known as the National Renewable Energy Laboratory) International Demo Day on 18 February 2026. Selected from a pool of international applications by a panel of 185 professional investors, this achievement marks a significant milestone for Australian solar diagnostics.

Why This Matters

The International Demo Day opens the Industry Growth Forum (IGF), North America’s premier event for energy innovation and investment. Past IGF participants have raised $4.2 billion in follow-on funding, with participating investors reporting $3.7 billion in planned investments.

For Diagno Energy, this selection validates our approach to solar asset management. While basic monitoring has become commonplace, true diagnostic capabilities such as identifying specific faults, quantifying financial impacts, and prioritizing maintenance remain rare.

With over 250 MWp under management across Australia, we’ve proven that machine learning-powered diagnostics can transform how councils, EPCs, O&M providers, and PPA partners manage their portfolios. Our platform integrates with 13 OEM cloud platforms, including all major inverter manufacturers, delivering insights in clear, natural language.

“Being selected by 185 professional investors tells us the market recognizes the difference between passive monitoring and active diagnostics,” said Chris Martell, CEO of Diagno Energy. “We’re providing the insights clients need to protect their solar investments.”

This recognition from NLR and the investment community reinforces our mission: ensuring every solar installation delivers its promised value through intelligent, proactive diagnostics.

Solving Australia’s Silent Performance Problem

Australia leads the world in solar adoption with over 3.6 million installations, but many systems underperform without triggering alarms (or by triggering too many). Performance and system safety losses can persist for months, costing owners millions in lost generation.

Diagno Energy’s platform uses machine learning to classify faults by severity and financial impact. Critical faults are reported within one business day with clear direction. Diagno service delivery engineers provide a quality assurance layer for ongoing system training and for a personalised service layer for our customers.

Global Scalability

What makes our platform scalable is its integration capability. Supporting everything from Sungrow and Fronius to SolarEdge and Tesla, we can onboard new assets in minutes. Self-onboarding enables rapid customer-led setup, while assisted onboarding handles uncommon brands.

Our team of internal developers and research contractors from UTS and UNSW positions us to adapt quickly to different markets. The underlying diagnostic intelligence remains constant while integration adapts to local infrastructure.

About Diagno Energy

Diagno Energy delivers advanced digital solutions that enhance the performance, reliability, and uptime of solar portfolios across Australia. Our platform leverages machine learning to parse, filter, and prioritize diagnostics. We present insights in clear, natural language that enable smarter, faster, and more effective maintenance.

Currently monitoring over 250 MWp of solar assets, we work closely with city councils, EPCs, O&M providers, and PPA partners across Australia. Our mission is to support the energy transition by giving organizations a deeper understanding of the condition, behavior, and risks associated with their solar assets. With research partnerships at UTS and UNSW, a team of internal developers, and specialised service delivery engineers, Diagno Energy combines academic rigor with practical industry experience to deliver diagnostic insights that keep Australian solar assets performing at their best.
